# Real Madrid 4 Real Sociedad 1: Mbappé Scores a Hat-Trick

Real Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 4-1 in their first home game of the season with Kylian Mbappé scoring a hat-trick. The win was Mourinho’s first home league win of the season.

Mbappé scored the first goal before half-time and twice after, while Vinícius Júnior also scored which is a positive impact to regain back his confidence.

This victory maintained Real Madrid’s perfect start to the 2026/27 La Liga season following their opening win against Espanyol. Real Madrid have now collected six points from their opening two league fixtures.

Mbappé found space from a difficult angle, but Real Sociedad goalkeeper Álex Remiro was blocking all the attempts.

The visitors responded four minutes later when Mikel Oyarzabal had a dangerous shot from inside the penalty area, but Courtois was there to make a save with his foot.

Mbappé opened the scoring in the 40th minute after Valverde carried the ball forward and provided the assist for Mbappe’s powerful finish. Real Sociedad responded four minutes later though, when Sučić scored from a rebound after Cunha’s first shot was saved. Madrid scored again in the 60th minute when Bellingham combined with Mbappé in a quick one-two, allowing the forward to finish first time. Eight minutes later, Bellingham won possession inside the Sociedad penalty area and assisted Vinícius for Madrid’s third. Mbappé then completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, chipping Remiro after being played through by Vinícius to seal the 4-1 victory.

Bellingham combined well with Vinícius in the attack, and finished with two assists, while Vinícius scored a goal and provided an assist for Mbappé’s third goal.
